Helping children to socialise

All children go through a different phase in social development. Very young child plays alone quite happily, babbling to himself and occasionally sharing a treasure with the parent. If another child wanders onto the scene, he or she is likely to get a bit worried, bossy or threatened...

Next is the phase when a child is able to play with one other child, and this includes an element of adjustment to the idea of sharing, of taking turns, of going ” first” or “last.” Etc...

Eventually the group grows larger-to three children and to four-and by the time the child enters kindergarten, he or she is able to join and to enjoy group experiences and to move on with others.

Parents should look for places beyond school to encourage children to socialise. Place like park, beach, library kids get to meet other children. At Kartwheel, kids get to meet children's from similar age group from various schools. They get to play, share and explore one others temperament. They develop friendship and look forward to come everyday to meet with their new found buddy.
